Argentina is becoming a very popular fly fishing destination. In commercial fishing, the most important species is the Atlantic hake. Shrimp and prawns are also an important commercial species. <br /><br />The Federal Fisheries Act of 1988 mandated the adoption of a quota management system. The objective was to avoid the risk of falling into ‘the tragedy of commons’ and its consequences.
