In Serra do Divisor more than half of the threatened wildlife species call this nature reserve home. Currently, wildlife species are still being discovered all the time so exact numbers are not completely known, but on average two new species are discovered every year. Currently the Serra do Divisor is home to many primate species, some of which are red listed.
