The hoary bat is the only common mammal species and of course we have our own seals and sea lions. Some concerns that are shared between Canada and the Galapagos Islands are the needs to manage invasive plant and animal species, closely monitor the fishing industry and preserve threatened species. Over-exploitation of natural resources is of great concern to both Canada and Ecuador, as it should be to all countries. </p> http://blogs.bcit.ca/catttrax2/south_america/galapagos/connections#comment Mon, 08 Jan 2007 11:11:01 -0800 The Catt-Trax2 Team 179 at http://blogs.bcit.ca/catttrax2
