Angel falls is the highest waterfall in the world at 979 m and is in Canaima National Park in the Guiana Highlands.
Mirror Peak has the world's highest cable car. It reaches an altitude of 4,765 m and its four sections equals 2.5 km in length. It is located in Sierra Nevada National Park.
Anacondas and Capybara live in Venezuela and they are the largest of their kind. Anaconda can grow up to nine metres and 544 kg. Capybaras can grow up to 63 kg. Jaguars and caimans are its main predators
Canaima is one of the world's sixth largest national park at 30,000 km². Angel Falls is located here. There are many rare plants including 500 species of o, such as the Eulophia alta (wild coco orchid) and the Epidendropsis violascens. Approximately sixty-five percent of the park is covered by the tepui, which are table mountain formations. The abundance of minerals creates slightly red water and the presence of quartz creates pink sand. Wood Buffalo National Park in Alberta and the Northwest Territories is Canada's largest park, at 44,800 km².
Maracaibo Lake is South Americas largest natural lake. It is one of the world's seventeen ancient lakes and estimated to be the second oldest, having been created approximately thirty-six million years ago. Venezuela's largest oil fields and almost a quarter of Venezuela's population lie around the Maracaibo Lake basin.
