Report prepared by Enrico Barbon and Ann Marie Gorecki, students in BCIT’s Fish, Wildlife and Recreation Program.

Recent political turmoil has left the country’s environmental future uncertain. There were past commitments by governments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase the use of renewable fuels. The biggest challenge for Argentina is finding a balance between economic growth and environmental protection. The main issues are:

  • Deforestation
  • Soil degradation
  • Desertification
  • Air pollution
  • Water pollution
